We're still monitoring Tropical Storm Edouard's expected impacts in the Houston area starting this afternoon. There are no changes to university operations, and all facilities will remain open.

Faculty and staff: if you live in an area that frequently experiences flash flooding and think you might need to adjust your work schedule, contact your supervisor to discuss any accommodations.
With heavy rain, some roadways and low-lying areas on campus may temporarily have standing water. As always, avoid floodwater.
We don't expect major impacts near Rice's main campus, but areas to the north, northeast, and east could see heavy rainfall and flash flooding. Please be careful and use your best judgment as we deal with any impacts over the next couple of days.
