The university is modifying its rules on self-quarantine after international travel due to the coronavirus threat.
Anyone who has traveled to a country on the CDC’s Level 3 risk assessment list – currently including China, South Korea, Iran and most of Europe – will be required to self-quarantine for 14 days outside the Rice campus and be asymptomatic before returning.
No longer must travelers to Level 2 countries self-quarantine, because the CDC has issued a global Level 2 outbreak notice.
