Hurricane Delta, now a category 3 hurricane, is forecast to track NW then N across the Gulf of Mexico. Delta is expected to make landfall on the SW Louisiana coast Friday afternoon or evening.

Although a Texas landfall of the center is not expected, tropical storm force winds, high surf with beach erosion and coastal flooding are likely. Some hurricane force winds are possible in Texas east of High Island.
