The shelter in place for campus has lifted and students are encouraged to return to their colleges. Campus streets are free of standing water and Rice buses are running again. Employees planning to leave campus are encouraged to map their route home through HOUSTON TRANSTAR and use caution on city streets. Remember: TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN.

Students, faculty and staff who are unable to leave the campus due to flooding are welcome to dine with Housing and Dining this evening. Serveries open at 5:30 p.m. for dinner. Please present a valid Rice ID to the cashier. Faculty and staff may dine at the North, Seibel, South and West serveries. All undergraduate students should dine in their residential colleges.

Again, Rice has canceled all classes and campus events for the remainder of the day. This includes any exams, laboratory classes, review sessions and similar activities.
