As Hurricane Laura moved ashore overnight, ride out teams monitoring the situation on campus reported moderate winds and no damage to campus property. An assessment by RUPD officers and Facilities Engineering and Planning personnel this morning have indicated no problems.

Students are now free to move about the campus.

A fuller update will be provided later this morning, as well as a decision about the university’s operating status for Friday.
