Rice University remains open. All daytime graduation events scheduled for today are proceeding as planned.

A decision about whether Friday evening’s Undergraduate Convocation ceremony will occur outdoors in the Academic Quadrangle will be made later today and announced by 5:30 p.m.

Due to shifting weather conditions, whether it’s held indoors or outdoors, the program for this evening’s convocation ceremony will be shortened and the scheduled start time has changed. (Everything will be moved up by 30 minutes).

If indoors 7:30 p.m. Tudor Fieldhouse

We will continue monitoring current conditions and National Weather Service forecasts. A decision on Saturday’s Plenary Commencement ceremonies will be made later, depending on how the weather develops in the coming hours.
