Rice University will remain closed through 11:59 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, which is Labor Day.
We have two important requests:
- To date, 4,787 people have completed the needs assessment. We want to know about everyone's status – even if your property was not impacted by the storm.
- We will be launching a second tool later today to figure out: a) who has temporary space to offer to those who have been displaced; and b) for those who have been displaced, whether you need a temporary place to stay.
A number of you have asked about volunteering to help our campus and city. We are organizing that effort and will share details about opportunities as soon as they are available.
